Take the first step toward joining the UNC community by attending a live, online MPA@UNC information session or an in-person recruiting event.
The web-based online information sessions are typically hosted by a current student and administered by an admissions team member in our innovative online classroom. You will learn how the online MPA program at UNC can help you become an influential leader in public service. You will also have the opportunity to discuss the application and admissions process and ask any other questions you may have.

Our in-person events are hosted at various locations throughout the year. Learn more about our upcoming events, including registration information, here.
One of the most valuable elements of the MPA@UNC experience is the unique live class structure, which brings students and professors face-to-face in a seminar-style online classroom. Aspiring MPA students are invited to visit an MPA@UNC classroom and experience this innovative virtual campus for themselves. During the visit, prospective students will:
- Watch students interact with peers and faculty using live video-conferencing technology.
- Participate in the classroom discussion from the perspective of a current student.
- Get a feel for how an MPA@UNC classroom functions, and learn about tools our students use daily.
- Meet MPA students who are also aspiring public service leaders.
For prospective students who prefer a more intimate tour of the virtual classroom, the admissions counselors are available to provide a one-on-one walk-through of the MPA@UNC classroom technology.
For more information about class visits or to schedule a one-on-one walk-through, please contact an admissions counselor at 855-862-4672 or via e-mail.
