PUBA 711: Public Service Leadership

Credit Hours: 3

The most powerful and effective leaders at every level of an organization are those who have acquired the strength of personal insight that supports their practical leadership skills.

Carolina MPA students acquire many skills and tools of leadership throughout the program that are important—but not sufficient. In this course, students explore their personal leadership styles—their values, strengths, and weaknesses—in order to be better prepared for leadership at the personal, interpersonal, organizational, and community levels. Students must be engaged, invested, honest, and open to explore their own leadership development.
